Litigation Assistant – BDE Law

A great opportunity has arisen within the BDE Law Bodily Injury and Counterclaim Team on a full time basis. The successful candidate will assist case handlers in the management and progression of a broad range of personal injury and accidental damage claims.

The Role:

There will be some administrative duties but the emphasis is on assisting with claims and claims handling duties, rather than clerical work.

As a member of the Team, the Litigation Assistant will gain considerable experience in how to run a case load and will develop technical skills in dealing with all types of cases, whilst at all times acting in the best interests of our insurer client and lay clients.   Case values may vary from several hundred to several thousand pounds. Almost all claims will be litigated and fast moving. Many will have their own complexities.

You will work within a Team of 6 friendly and talented professionals. We work normal offices hours but can offer a little flexibility. We are made up of solicitors and paralegals of mixed and broad experience.

Duties may include gathering evidence, assembling trial bundles and instructions to counsel and undertaking research.

About You:

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for someone who has a real interest in law.

Experience in case handling is not essential. Training and guidance will be provided, but you must be dedicated and enthusiastic with good time management and strong communication skills.  You must also have IT and literacy skills to support an area of law and a Team who deal with fast pace litigation.
