Admiral staff join thousands celebrating Cardiff Pride Cymru 2016

Admiral staff will be among thousands of people expected to attend this year's Pride Cymru celebration of equality and diversity in the centre of Cardiff tomorrow.

The first ever Cardiff Mardi Gras event took place in September 1999 when more than 5,000 people attended the city festival.

Pride Cymru is now one of the biggest events of its kind in the UK.

Admiral is one of the main sponsors of Pride which will feature fairground rides, food and drink and an assortment of market stalls as well as a parade and performances from LGBT activist Heather Peace, Big Reunion stars B*Witched and Voice UK contestant Leighton Jones.

Admiral senior e-learning developer Katy Lilley (pictured above right) and her partner Sarah will be among the thousands of revellers taking part in this year's event.

Katy has worked for us for five years and develops online e-learning courses that help our staff improve their knowledge.

She said: "This will be my second Pride in Cardiff, it is always fun to catch up with friends and watch the Admiral Choir."
