The Celebrity Cup - Another reason Newport is a great place to work!

Stars of stage and screen will be heading to Newport this weekend where Admiral employs almost 900 people in modern purpose-built city centre offices.

Hollywood actors Dougray Scott and Ioan Gruffudd will join stars including comedian Rob Brydon for the annual Celebrity Cup golf tournament at Newport's Celtic Manor Resort which tees off on Saturday.

The event is just one of many reasons we think Newport is a great place to work.

The city has hosted everything from NATO Summits to the Ryder Cup and the Celebrity Cup has now become an annual event.

It is also home to the £100m Friars Walk shopping centre which opened last year and features high street shops, restaurants and an eight-screen cinema.

Newport Gwent Dragons, Newport County and Newport RFC also draw more than 150,000 fans to the Rodney Parade stadium in the city centre every year.

Admiral officially opened its offices in the city centre in 2014 and our staff say we offer rewarding roles in an enjoyable environment with a good mix of fun and professionalism.

Call handler Kristian Payne (pictured above) recently passed his probation period within our First Notification of Loss department in Newport and said: "There are days when the call volumes are high but the managers are very understanding.

"They really look after you here and you can have fun whilst getting the job done."

Paul Underwood has also completed his probation with us and added: "It was scary when I first started but you find yourself being embraced as part of the team almost immediately.

"You never know who the next call will be from and there is support all the way through, you find yourself wanting to go above and beyond to help."
