Our Top 7 Contact Centre interview tips

Keep these tips in mind when preparing for your contact centre meet and greet/interview with us:

  1. Prepare. Research the job advert and think about your transferable skills

Read through the job advert (be sure to copy and paste it for your records) and think about how you can show that you have the skills necessary to be successful in the role that you’ve applied for.

  1. Arrive on time

Give yourself plenty of time and arrive at least 15 minutes early to your meet and greet, it gives a good first impression and ensures that you don’t miss anything.

  1. Look presentable, relax, be yourself and smile

Even though we have a relaxed dress code at Admiral, it is still an interview, so you’ll want to make a good first impression by dressing smartly. Try and relax as much as possible and show the interviewers your personality, they’ll want to get to know the real you. A smile can be a powerful tool at the first meeting.

  1. Stick to the point.

Try and be concise and clear during your interview and support your answers with relevant examples. Think of occasions where you’ve given excellent customer service and what made it excellent? Think about the question.

Add as much detail as possible to your answers with relevant examples, e.g. if asked, when was the last time you gave great customer service, introduce your answer, provide an example, and then finish your answer by explaining why it was great customer service. If you don’t have any experience in dealing with customers, think about what skills and attributes you’ll need to be able to deliver excellent service.

Think about what great customer service is, or perhaps when you’ve been given great customer service.

  1. Research.

Interviewers are always impressed when a candidate has researched not just the role they have applied for, but also Admiral as a business and what we’re all about.

Try and have a few points about Admiral to talk about, those candidates who know about the role and company really impress the interviewers! You can find out more about the company by visiting the about us section on our website (https://admiraljobs.co.uk/about-us/)

  1. Interview Questions. Think of some questions that could be asked and practice, practice practice.

Google is your friend, research interview questions and practice these with friends and family members.

  1. Ask a question.

You’ll be given the opportunity to meet people that do the job you’ve applied for. Use this opportunity to ask questions about the role. It’s also worth asking some questions to the interviewers. You can prepare these before the interview.

Remember, the Recruitment team are always on hand to help you in any way we can. If you have any questions at all about any stage of the interview process, simply give us a call on 0800 118 1619, or email us at workwithus@admiralgroup.co.uk, we’ll be happy to help. Good luck!!
