Admiral Law offers path to promotion

An apprentice who joined Admiral Law with no legal experience is hoping to become a chartered legal executive after just three years with the business.

Jenna Swan was among the first staff hired by the firm when it launched in 2013 and received a promotion within three months.

The 24-year-old began her career in the New Business arm of Admiral Law and was promoted to Personal Injury Case Handler within the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) department.

She said: “There are so many benefits to working at Admiral Law, in particular the opportunity for career progression.”

Jenna now works in the Fast Track department of Admiral Law after successfully interviewing for the position of case handler.

She achieved promotion to become an Advance Case Handler in September last year.

Jenna has worked on cases where liability is both admitted and denied with a value of up to £25,000 and was also one of the first Case Handlers within Admiral Law to achieve Advanced status.

During her time in the MOJ department she began the Higher Apprenticeship for Legal Services which she is due to finish in June this year.

Jenna has enrolled onto the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives Cilex Level 3 course with the intention of becoming a Chartered Legal Executive.

She added: “I am also looking to finish this in June so I am able to enrol onto Level 6 in September.”

All staff within the Admiral Group receive a free allocation of shares in the business to the value of £3,600 every year.

Shares can be sold after three years and sold tax free after five years.

Jenna hopes to use her allocation to get her foot on the property ladder and said: “I have planned to keep my shares until I am ready to buy a property, as they will help with my deposit.”
