Admiral Recruitment’s Charity Day
Last week our Recruitment team invited in the British Heart Foundation (BHF) for our annual charity day. After an interesting and thought provoking presentation given by BHF representative Josh, we embarked on CPR training – and discovered it is both quick and easy to learn! You can watch BHF’s CPR training video here.
However easy CPR is to learn, it is actually quite tiring doing it at length, so it was nice to do a quieter activity next. The BHF split us into teams and asked us to come up with a fundraising idea that could work at Admiral. The teams came up with some great ideas, including a family fun day, sponsored stair climbing, and social media campaigning.
Following the fundraising session we were lucky enough to tuck into a lovely buffet lunch which had been organized for us, which helped us prepare for our busy afternoon!
The afternoon was spent helping out in two of the BHF’s furniture and electrical stores in Cardiff. This involved cleaning glass and furniture, building furniture and testing electrical items.
A big thank you goes out to the British Heart Foundation for coming in and spending the time training us, as well as for accommodating us in their stores. And thanks to Admiral for allowing us time outside of work to help out with charity work!
