Admiral won the regional finals for the Million Makers competition!
Every year Admiral partakes in the Prince’s Trust Million Makers competition, in which companies are challenged to raise at least £10,000 for the charity and to raise at least £1 Million nationwide.
The charity helps young people from disadvantaged backgrounds rebuild their lives. You can read more about their work here.
Last week our Million Makers team attended an awards ceremony at the Marriott Hotel in Cardiff, where the Prince’s Trust announced that Admiral had won the regional finals in Wales!
We are delighted to have received this great accolade and our Million Makers team will be travelling to London very soon to be a part of the National Finals, where we will find out which company raised the most money nationwide, so keep your eyes peeled!
As part of the competition Admiral staff members broke a Guinness World Record for the most people hopping simultaneously in one place at the Motorpoint Arena last year, which raised a phenomenal amount of money. Other than this, we organized a charity art auction, a charity meal in combination with some local businesses (Brød, Waterloo Tea, Penylan Pantry), "soak your manager", and we also ran our Big Prize Draw, in which one lucky staff member won a brand new car complete with free insurance!
“Being part of the Admiral Million Makers team has been a great honour and so rewarding! It has been a busy few months organizing events and getting staff across the company motivated to take part, but it is great to see all our hard work pay off with this great result for Admiral!”(Kat Gil Mast, part of the 2016 Admiral Million Makers team)
The Million Makers team 2016 was made up of ten of our grads from both the 2015 and 2016 graduate intakes.
Well done team and well done Admiral!
