Inside Admiral

Congratulations to our 2015 Grads!

In July 2015 nine grads joined the Admiral Graduate Programme. Eight of them successfully passed probation and between them they have visited 21 departments, worked on countless projects, and as of December 2016 they have all found permanent positions across the Group!

Three of them are now working at our sister company Confused.com and the other five are working for Admiral.

Below is a quick overview of their new roles to give you a flavour of what you could be doing on one of our graduate programmes.

Alex is now a Product Analyst at Confused.com.

Alex has been undertaking market research and making decisions on the product requirements for a large-scale new project, as well as helping out with website design. Recently he has also picked up a project on data reporting, which involves working with Confused.com’s partners and developing efficiency processes.

Rowan is now working on the newly formed Car Access Team.

Rowan is working in a brand new area of the company, where she has been part of one of Admiral’s first Mergers & Acquisitions. Rentecarlo joined the Admiral Group in October and the transition of having them in-house has been an interesting learning experience and lots of fun! Rowan was also in charge of launching Car Sharing Insurance at the end of November. The product is still being developed, and is live, so there is always a lot to do!

Ryan is now a Project Executive in the Telematics department.

Ryan’s new role involves competition analysis, MI and assisting and completing different projects within the department, for example the current product review for LittleBox. For this Ryan is looking at a whole host of different aspects, which will allow him to make recommendations on how to improve the product and highlight key areas of importance. Ryan will shortly be doing the same for Plug & Drive.

Emily is now a Customer Loyalty and Promotions Executive in the Renewals department.

Emily has been permanent in Renewals since October, after enjoying her 3rd placement on the graduate programme here. Customer Loyalty is a new area within Renewals focussed on increasing customer retention. Emily’s role involves optimising and monitoring loyalty campaigns to ensure they run smoothly. She is also in charge of negotiating new promotions with external suppliers and manages the launch of these.

Chris is now a Product Assistant on the Product Team at Confused.com.

Chris’ role has involved taking over the day-to-day running of a number of products that Confused.com offers a comparison service for, such as Travel, Pet, Energy and Landlord Insurance. The role has been really good for building Chris’ knowledge of both the insurance and price comparison sectors. Working across a range of different products has helped him understand the different requirements of each product, including each product’s MI.

Kat is now a Digital Recruitment Executive & Content Writer in Recruitment.

Kat came to Admiral’s HR department, People Services, in August as part of her graduate rotations and became a permanent member of the team in October. Her role is very creative and spans a lot of marketing functions, including the management of the website and social media. She is also working towards a diploma in Social Media Marketing, which is a great opportunity to build on her skills and to develop professionally.

Sam is now a Partner Support Officer in the Commercial Team at Confused.com.

Sam manages day-to-day contact and queries with Confused’s home and motor partners, ensuring any requested changes are fulfilled. The Commercial Team manages the high level relationship with Confused’s partner panel and supports them and their products. Sam has already been involved in some exciting projects and is looking forward to getting his teeth stuck in further.

We hope you will join us in wishing them all the best for their future careers as part of the Admiral Group!
