Admiral celebrates National Payroll Week with senior graduation

Payroll departments across the country are celebrating National Payroll Week and Admiral has an extra reason to be cheerful.

Senior payroll administrator Lisa Thomas is celebrating after completing a foundation degree in Payroll Management.

Lisa has worked for Admiral for 18 years and spent the past three years working towards her qualification which was entirely funded by our business.

The course involved a year of exams followed by two years of assignments which culminated in a final work based project looking at improving the process of seconding UK employees to international business operations.

Lisa said: "I had a lot of support from Admiral during my degree which was great.

"It was important to me to have an official payroll qualification, there were sacrifices but it was definitely worth it."

Lisa began her career with us in Customer Service before making the move to Payroll and said: "I didn't realise how much work went into creating a payslip.

"Working in Payroll is rewarding, every day is different and I enjoy it because it is challenging."

National Payroll Week is run by the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals and recognises and celebrates not only the impact of payroll on business, but also the contribution payroll makes to the UK economy.
